Hi folks, Just wondering if anybody else experienced a change to their PR in the last couple days. One of my clients saw changes site-wide, including subdomains. Have any of you seen a boost or drop?
nope.. have the sites that have backlinks to you changed at all? did any of the sites get banned, bumped, taken down, expired? Some of your PR comes from vote scores through other websites, if any of those sites changed it could affect you. Did they add more links to other sites? so as example if some site out on the Internet has a link on their site to your site, and if you were one of say 10 sites they were linking to..but then suddenly if they link to 1,000 more sites, then the value of the 'vote' is going to be split between 1,010 sites.. instead of only 10. There's a few things that could've happened IF you havent made any changes to your site. including, how long has your site been sitting without any updates or new 'content' as they call it
Nothing significant has happened to any of the sites linking to us. The site actually got a substantial increase, I wonder if some of our work over the last six months is kicking in. My impression was that PR wasn't that fluid, that it is changed on a quarterly/half-year basis. I'm not complaining!
PR updates daily for Google Employees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Once a quarter for everyone else. Kindly refrain from wasting peoples time.... there is a thread for this a little reading before posting goes a long way. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=647245
Apologies if this is the wrong place, but the thread you refer to discusses the Q1 update: Google's Q1 (2008) Page Rank Discussion Thread I'm not referring to that update, it's now Q2. I didn't see a thread for it so I created one. UPDATE: Sorry, I should have tacked it on to the other one. The title threw me.
