    Hello All,

    I am new to posting on this board, but have been reading the posts for quite sometime. I have a question for anyone....is the PR update finished? Not a single page of any of my sites have changed that is why I ask. I do know that the directory has been updated because I have fallen out of it.....I was in DMOZ and in the directory, but DMOZ has removed my site because they do not list shopping sites that use the dropship method...or at least that is what I managed to get them to tell me...anyway...I was just wondering if it was done...I have checked the datacenters and all still show a PR of 5 but the #of backlinks varies....but still show a PR5 in the toolbar.

    I've checked my site over the datacenters. It shows a mixture of pr3's (original position) and pr4's (new position). Another site is 0's and 3's. So the update is still continuing, but it looks like you'll stay at 5.

    Macdar tool shows PR5 for my site and nearly double number of backlinks...
    When I go to my site the toolbar shows PR4 at the moment......

    Since my last post some of my internal pages have gone from 0-4 which is definately ok by me..........but my number of backlinks has not changed.....will they, or will they not or is there any way to tell?

    spondishy, you said that I would stay at 5, how did you arrive at this conclusion? I have looked at some of the PR tools, but there are so many out there that I dont have a clue as to which one to use.....

    I am really confused as to why the PR didnt increase, I have worked hard adding links etc, but I guess not going down is a blessing to.....

    In addition to seeing some increases in PR on some of my pages (no decreases), I just had a significant BL update on one of my sites as well.

    I didn't see another recent thread on this.

    Did Dmoz changed anything? I thought they accepted friends only... :mad: The last email received was a pre-written 2 pages guideline thingy telling that porn sites were not accepted... we don't even offer nudist resorts :mad:

    The only reason I thought it would stay at a 5 was because a couple of my sites had shown movement across some datacenters. I think the mcdar tool shows results over more datacenters than seochat's if that is any help. I guess if you answer these questions then someone may be able to give you an indication of why your pr didn't move.

    What was the pr of the sites you have recently received links from?
    Quantity?
    Are they reciprocals?
    Are they really recent?

    When a PR update is done is Google looking at current data or data that is a few months old? Reason I am asking is because I have lots backlinks to strong PR (6,7,8) pages due to the articles I have written and submitted to places such as ezine articles...and none of those links are showing up when I check the backlinks...these articles were submitted to different places with the last month to 6 weeks and just wondering if the google data used to update the pr and bl was not that recent...that would explain all the missing links and might explain why pr didnt increase....

    At the beginning of the year, I was at 6 and then a few months back it dropped to 5. I was hoping to regain that back this time around....so far, no luck.
