Google Pagerank update Q2 2008

That is correct. Only google knows. I am ready for an update though. I have several sites I want to sale.

 

only google know about it when they do next pr update , because we can't say easily about anything related to google and its service - they are doing so much change in there working methods and other techniques with in every few days

 

Keep an eye on DMOZ PR. Once that updates, the PR toolbar export normally happens in about a week.

 

These type of threads should be deleted unless there is really a Pagerank update

 

At least it is not one of the many false alarm PR update threads.

This thread would be better suited for the Google forum instead of SEO. In fact it would be nice to have a PR sub-forum to contain some of the madness.

 

Hey, i'm assumming no one knows or has any idea when the next page rank update will be.

I actually had a question, why do people ask about this update when (from what i can see) website's page ranks are constantly being updated and changed.

What exactly are people looking forward to being changed?

 

Some people are selling links on their site and are adjusting the price based on the PR of the page the link will be on.

Also, some people judge the PR as being an overall mesure of how well they are doing SEO wise.

 

Yeah i understand that, but when the update comes (if it ever does) what do they expect? A jump in page rank or something?

 

yeah, they are waiting to see if their PR increase so that they can increase their price when selling links

 

Rankings are done all the time. However, the public PR number is only changed when the official Google release is updated. A PR can go up or down and it affects the value of links when selling them and to many it affects the price of a domain or website if one is planning to sell it. With all other factors equal, a higher PR site will sell for more than a lower PR site.

That along with the thrill of the number is what causes webmaster to be excited about PR updates.

Google calculates PR according both in link and out link, so if you sell so much link your PR may be down. At the end of July, PR will be updated.

 

I'm guessing the next PR update will be in the beginning of July.

Agree, We'll see. I sold 10 links (TLA) on my blog, perhaps my PR will steady on 4th level

 

Build more links to your blog, so maybe you will not loose your PR

 

I have been reported by a friend working in Google, he said that Google will update PR at the end of July.

 

Some ask for it so to make money by selling links and some asks for it to see if their doing okay or not - however, monitoring rankings is the best way to see if they're doing okay or not.

 

i suppose since everybody will be busy gaining links from other sites, they are waiting for next PR update so that they also get a higher rank.
PR updation will help them tell how well they are working
