Why is this forum so obsessed with pagerank? Every other thread is about pagerank, just use the search
quite right, there has been a pr update in August as one of my website has improved its pr since June.
Pagerank certainly is a one of the way to measure your site. However, to me, ranking and traffic are far more important. I do care about PR for other sites but just for baclklinking purpose. They are extremely valuable in terms of backlinking. However, there are tons of high PR sites that are not ranked on Google. Cheers, MingJong
Page is one of the last checks when placing a backlink! Its should be : 1: Does the site look ok 2: Am I actually going to get traffic from it 3: What's Google think of it i.e pagerank, indexed pages
My website had a PR 2 in January this year. In June it dropped to 1 and now it stays at 1 (although I am working every day at backlinks and new content). Am I doing something wrong or is just because it is an online shop and there are many others on the market (that probably are older and more indexed than mine) ?
last couple of month I am working with my site but no improvement. But still hoping that I will get result in the next update.
This update really done amazing things to most of my websites. As far as I have found then only one dropped from PR4 to Pr3 but all others that were PR0 right now are PR2-4, so this really feels good. Of course it doesn't make any sense in terms of income increase and visitors but it sure looks more trustworthy for me
