Google PageRank Question

No this is not another post asking when the next update will be. I was wondering what is the possibility that a site can go from a PR0 to a PR4-5 in one update. Say you build quality backlinks and all. Is it possible? What is the usually update from a PR0 site?

 

i haven't encounter that one.. but i think yes its possible.. if your site get popular for a just few days.. then it can probably get high PR on its next update..

Yes. This is absolutely possible. Google is rating the sites via amount and quality of your backlinks, etc., so if you really can achieve it to get that many quality backlinks in this short period you´ll get the higher PR.

 

By the way, what do you mean with high quality backlinks?

PR(A) = (1-d) / N + d (PR(T1)/C(T1) + ... + PR(Tn)/C(Tn))

 

its possible since i build links to my celebrity site that actually got pr3 during the first update

 

Of course... it is very much possible. PR rank does not have to increase one step at a time since it is solely dependent on the PR rank of the sites where you get your backlinks from.

If you manage to get several links from very high PR ranked sites, you would surely get good PR juice to elevate your site to even 4 or 5!

Yes, it is possible. But that won't help in traffic and rankings.

Actually you even can get a PR5 with a 3 month old blog

 

By all means its possible... I've never seen it happen, but then again, I think PR is worthless (IMHO).

Are you worried about PR? Build backlinks, upon backlinks and you will get a nice PR - Oh yes, content too.

Surely, No one can deny the chances of turning websites from PR0 to PR4 or above, this can happen only if you gain the extraordinarily traffic within that update and have continuous increase in the traffic, getting a lot of high quality backlinks from sites with at-least PR of 7 or more.

 

I've had it happen to me with just a few decent incoming links from established, related sites. Only once, though.

It's definitely possible, but it's more common to end up PR 2 or PR3 when you first get ranked, if you're just relying on articles, blog comments, etc, for your links.

 

yeah,.. it happens maybe 2 to 3 months in a SEO Contest but it suddenly fall when google detect that all of them are spam...

 

Yes, it is possible, is all depends on how good your work.
However, the best i can do is from PR0 to PR5, not sure about other member

 

Its possible to jump ranks in a single update. Ive seen many sites go from 0 to 4 or 5. It takes hard work but its possible.
