Thanks for the advice, Guru. That definitely answers all the questions any of us ever had about Google, PR, updates, and the future of civilization. :)

Well, you gotta admit, it wouldn't be as bad as if the serps update negatively affected everyone. I mean, my god, can you imagine if no one at all ranked in the top 100?

Ok, I expected minstrel to miss my point, lecabra as well... but please tell me not everyone did. It wasn't about the frequency of the update to the serps, which I know are in everflux.

So, minstrel, you just went out of your way to make sure that everyone who read this would completely understand, without a doubt, that you were not smart enough to see that the "serps update" wasn't, in fact, what my post was about. That despite the fact that I pointed it out, those were still the 2 words you insist on focusing on.

And in your mad rush to yet again slam me, since it does make you look oh so much better, you totally failed to see what I was in fact making a point on.

So, since you seemed to skip right over it, why don't you, in your infinite wisdom, do pray tell... how can any Google update, whatever you call it, whatever its frequency, whatever it actually does, negatively effect everyone, as your little buddy lecabra seems to think is possible?

It's a search engine. Those who rank higher have the most benefit. Someone always benefits. Even if Google were to go out of business, someone, somewhere, would benefit.
