Can anyone share any light on what I have read and seen that google has dropped a lot of the page rankings down to 0 and is there a reason for this?

    Thanks

Google drop rank of a website/ blog due to lac of informative posts in the blogs. if you just work for satisfying the Search engine then sooner or later your rank will be dropped. so avoid taking care about the SE. just care about your visitors.
    thanks

Certain types of sites dropped in rank a lot over the past few months such as Article type sites. What is your site about? Does it contain quality updated content?

If you provide more details about your site, we may be able to give you a better answer.

What source you are checking the PR?? Using some toolbar? If yes, then better update it...

I don not think that there is anything like that. It would be better you check your tools that you are using to check the page rank. May that toolbar needs a update to work better and show correct results

No Google has not dropped the PR... Its just not appearing for third party tools.

After some recent update this has been observed. Google claims that soon it will start appearing for third party tools.

They are likely updating everyone's pagerank. Takes some time. For any website, I am not able to see page rank. I use the SEO plugins for Mozilla too.

I have not seen this either... I just checked about a dozen sites we own and all seem to have stable PR.

Please recheck your content & try to rewrite it. I think this will work.

After google Panda updates I got my site ranking down from PR 5 to PR 2. And dramatically my site traffic decreased. I am rally frustrated. Its too tough to get the same rank back again.

I'm not sure where you've read this Victor but I've checked many page rank stats of different websites I frequently visit and none have changed in PR. Like they said above it is probably just needing an update on a toolbar that checks PR of websites.

Try checking PR with an updated version of tools you use for this purpose. I suspect this should be the case.

Well, I have not experienced anything like this with my domains. But if it has happened, then there may be reasons like you have given outbound links on your website to other websites, or you have lost your quality back links.
