Hi Webmasters, this is probably a bit of a silly question but i cant find the answer , How often do Google update page rank?
here you can find a history to predict the future...kinda...anyways, here it is: http://www.seocompany.ca/pagerank/page-rank-update-list.html
Internally, GoogleGuy seemed to indicate they do it daily, or it's an ongoing process. It seems like the different data centers sync or push out data every couple days, or sometimes twice a day, but usually every couple days, perhaps the internal updates correspond with index updates. Just wildly guessing though, with very little basis, except that I see the DCs start to change more and more towards a new number of indexed pages every couple days, then the API changes to reflect that. But there's millions of sites, and I'm looking at one, so who really knows, as someone said above... lol... "how long is a piece of string"
It's funny you mention that. Someone recently defined an answer to this question that made sense. I cannot remember if it was here or on the V-Rod forums. Anyway, I cannot remember the answer, but when I read it, it made sense. 6 hours and counting to my early weekend and boat launching... (Friday OFF).
very often, like daily if not bi-daily. The main time when you'll notice raises is if google relizes you have better optimization, click throughs from searching the keyword your site is found under(obvious part to googlebot), and the amount of sites you have linked back to you-preferably sites with relevant content. This is what I've learned from my experience. note: I don't have alot of backlinks, so I must be a pretty good optimizer ranking 8 on page 1 all the way to 3 and now back down to #5 on page 1 in my keyword search. (some dude sort of spammed google, thats why I'm number 5 now)
