Google Page Rank update -8th Jan

One of my websites also went from PR2 to PR0 ... In the Dec update it had gained PR2 from PR1. No change in SERPS though. I don't sell links, and I have only 3 link exchanges, so I don't know why the penalty's for

 

The googlebots aren't smart enough, but the army of human reviewers are.

 

I have made a topic on this section only regarding my PR update yesterday

 

My site went from PR 3 to 0 , I don't understand why ..

 

Is it possible you lost a link from a PR 5 or PR 6 site.

 

Do you think I can do anything to get a higher PR until the next update ?

 

Yeah one Blog of mine also lost it PR Today and i was a bit worried abt it

 

Same as always... good backlinks.
Perhaps your inner pages received higher PR

 

What I ment to say was if I can do anything to gain PR before the next PR , that might be after 3 months ..if I get backlinks is any chance to get PR before the update ?

 

In december update my pr went from 3 to 4.
But today it is from 4 to 2.

I think google detected link selling on my blog.


I was selling links but google is damn intelligent

 

I went from 2 to 4 today - all whitehat and clean as a whistle.

my few website pr is updated by 1 pr

 

What i did after I got PR 3 on new year.

1. I didnt make any blog post
2. I participate in permonancing ads. I show lots of blog with that advertisement with pr 3-5 . I just want to know is it hurt PR.

3. One of my blog has pr 2 which goes 0 where i havnt place any ads after pr update

4. my squidoo lens also loose pr

Can any one suggest me is pr gets hurt if we put advertisement with nofollow. ???


and one more thing did posting daily or frequently can affect pr or not

 

I noticed some backlinks updated again.

maybe that is why.

Interestingly, I also noticed a drop from PR2 (which was achieved on 31st dec) to PR0. I don't care as I've only installed the blog to the site (which has PR3) and never touched it again. I actually found it funny to see the PR2 on dead thing but I guessed it was because of internal linking. But now the PR has dropped to 0.

Another interesting thing is the category on this blog (with the default hello world post). The category and the 'about us' pages have PR1. Again, I didn't touched the blog after I installed it.

PR algo is not perfect, and I guess Google is adjusting the PRs. No issues what so ever!

 

Looks like a PR Update same thing happened with me .. I for a drop in my PR from 4 to 3 !!

 

I don't think there is any harm in placing no-follow affiliate ads.
As you mentioned yourself that - your squidoo page lost PR too. Can you check your backlinks and see if they have same PR as achieved on 31st Dec.?
If they lost PR - its because of them that your PR is less - not because your own wrong-doings.
Anyway - loosing PR does not mean penalization or banned by Google.
as long as your revenue is not hit - you can keep on doing what you have done so far.

 

Thanks for your reply. So i hope its sure that selling nofollow ad through perfomancing ads dont affect my ranking. I got my backlinks for blog from forum - DP signature and squidoo profile pages. when i got pr-3 i was really surprised.

I think google is getting CRAZY or Drunk
