google page rank question

    say I have a site with a PR of 4, and I get 15 links from all different websites, each link on a PR 4 web page.


    will this help my PR or serps

    As far as PR, yes. How much depends upon the number of links on the page.

    As far as rankings, yes. It will help you rank for the anchor text of the link. Whether or not you see a change in your SERP's depends upon how "far behind" you are from the sites ahead of you.

    SERPS will depend on links with relevant Anchor Text.....

    PR for sure (though this depends on the number of links on the linking page).

    SERP - this depends on various factors.
    • Age of your site
    • Age of the Linking site
    • Popularity of the Linking site
    • Ofcourse the anchor text on the link.
    • And much more..

    It will be better if you can get more back links to boost ur ranl from 4, Becoz i don't think 15 BLs are enough to move on..

    each link with PR will give you some PR.

    for example:

    you might have a PR1 site. Then a PR1 site links back to you. your PR will now be 1.x depending on the number of outbound links on the page linking back to you.

    assume you'll get .1, then you now have a PR of 1.1

    basic explanation of course but don't get your hopes up because you won't get .1 for every link. ;)
