Hey fellow CB'ers,I was wondering what should I focus more on when choosing an Article directorie? My guess is Google PR but I could be wrong. Also what does Alexa Ranking mean and what does it have to do with SEO?

Which one is better for SEO,Google page rank or Alexa Rating?

Thx in Advance ,from a disgruntled n00b

Google PR is a measure of links to you website - its a complex algorithym that includes number of links and measures of their quality. Alexa is a measure of how much traffic you get.

I would say concentrate on SERP's instead - the position you site is listed in when people search for relveant keywords in a search engine.

PR and Alexa rank are secondary measures and less inmportant.

Both PR and Alexa ranking are important. Usually when a website receives high amount of traffic it has good PR.

When choosing an article directory to use, look for both of these factors.

Alexa is a basic measure of a websites traffic. It can only monitor traffic and page views to sites if the user is running an alexa plugin or toolbar within their browser.

Alexa therefore is unrelated to PR and is not really an SEO metric. Useful even so, you have an idea if anyone actually visits certain article directories.
