my PR decresed from 4-2-0 in last 2 PR updates, does google penalize duplicated content?

 

I would not worry about PR. I have some very popular sites that make great money and are pr1's then I have a few sites that are PR4-6 and they dont get nearly any traffic.
Get traffic, look at places other than twitter....

Everyone want sto get to PR 5-6. It takes lots of effort and work. If it were to be that easy, anyone would have gotten 5-6 in a heartbeat if there was a secret to it.

 

Search engine traffic nothing to do with your PR.. if you want to rank higher in search engines..build more quality backlinks to your site..probably you can rank higher and get more organic traffics..it's not 1 or 2 days works..you need to work harder to achieve that...

Don't worry too much about page rank but concentrate on building quality backlinks to your site, add unique content daily and traffic should start to increase. And by the way, social media traffic isn't what you should aim for because it's very low converting. Best source of quality converting traffic is the search engines or if you have money you could try PPC.

PR really does nothing to your site. My current PR is 2 and my visitor count isn't something to brag about.

 

PR is only important for the site that is linking to your site. PR has no meaning for your website unless you are wanting to link to someone else.

PR won't give you lot of extra traffic, but you can get both with social website bookmarking, article submission, exchanging links, buying links/blog posts etc... You need to combine that all to get either PR or traffic, or both...

Btw, using only Twitter for traffic is not such a good idea... a waste of time I would say...

Also, a lot depends on the type of website and niche...
