Hey guys, I've just been reading about page rank on the google website, it seems people here don't give Page Rank enough credit, although I certainly understand what you guys are saying, have a read of this: http://www.google.com/corporate/tech.html What do you think?
Personally, looking more into PageRank then I did before, since I recently discovered that what I thought page rank was, was completely wrong.. But if people look at page ranks, the sites with the best page ranks are trusted sites to google. I think its pretty important at the impression I'm under right now, even though I'm researching more and more into it.
Well it's an important factor when building websites that's true... but nothing to be scared from... If your PR isn't going higher... well don't sit there and cry.. just wait and go on with your site, your users won't care that your PR is 0 and not 8 And with SERP... well it's better to be #1 in google with a keyword, than have PR8 but being listed at bad positions Greetz
If the links to that PR0 page are good links, that page won't stay PR0 for long. It may say PR0 on the outdated toolbar, but good backlinks will already have it higher in Google's ongoing, internal calculations.
My site just dropped 2PR, but it hasn't affected my SE traffic, so I am not too concerned about it...
It is not a perfect or yet perfect technology, there are still sites suffer even though they are deserved to rank.
Yap, mine also. Before has PR2 and penalize become N/A but the SERP still remain and drive organic traffic.
Yes, it might be ONLY one out of 200 ranking factors, but maybe it carries more weight than other factors?? Also, as somone above mentioned, the toolbar pagerank is an outdated screenshot of your sites PR, it's changing all the time right? So even if the outdated toolbar shows PR0, your actual PR might be a lot higher?? Just a thought.
PageRank was and will still one of the most important factors to rank website within Google search engine
