Our main site, Pregame.com, recently went from #4 to a #3 PR. The problem is we have receieved tons of press due to some "sports gambling" related topics and have had links on major news sites. So to drop after that has out scratching our heads. The only thing that seems to make sense would be some of our link partners saw a drop in rank. Would this alone cause us to drop from a #3 to #4. The second question is our company is looking to find an expert on Google PR (with knowledge of Alexa a plus) to consult when needed. Essentially, someone we can pay an hourly fee to for consultation on tips and advice on what we should be doing or not doing. The dilemma here is that forums and SEO sites are full of people who will glady accept your money but not reallly do much. Is there someone here that will either provide this service or offer a name to someone reputable? Thanks in advance.
Definitely yes... you were affected. So true so be careful... You might be able to seek help from older members.. I'm glad to do a business with you but my schedule is full...
Many established sites have experienced a pr drop on the latest PR update. Google PR algorithm faces a new change which has possibly devalued web directories and many other crappy sites. Quality links in their context are getting more and more complex. But as far as i am concerned, try not to focus too much on PR or any PR update because your SERPs will not change all of a sudden after a PR update. Which naturally means, it does not affect the SERPs significantly.
Thanks. For the 2nd part, anyone have an expert that would work on an hourly basis for consultation when needed?
