My website google PR was 2 till yesterday. Today I find that the PR is 0. Can anyone ascribe any reasons to it / undergoing the same situation / advise me on the actions to be taken to get the PR back again. Thanks
you probably may having bad links to your site or may be the sites linking to you are spam sites thats majority of reason why pages loose ranking. but there isno problem in these just make sure you rank good in serps.
The page rank displayed in the Google tool bar isn't necessarily the real PR of your site because Google on outputs new PR data periodically. Only they know your true PR and it is constantly changing (the are millions of smaller number in between 1, 2, 3, 4 etc) Don't worry about the green pixie dust in the Google tool bar - worry more about your rankings! (I had a site a while back that dropped from a PR5 to a PR1 but at the same time jumped up 8 places in the SERPs to a #1 for quite a competitive keyword! Keep building quality inbound links, go for the rankings and let Google worry about the magic green juice.
it won't be zero check it again ... you want to check your home page PR then just write www.yoursite.com not www.yoursite.com/index.php etc
Thanks guys. But it really is 0 suddenly. Why I am flabbergasted is that I had worked hard in the last month to created good links to my site to boost its rankings. Now I need to know if I have gone wrong somewhere. See if anyone can help at that.
A PR 2 is nothing to sneeze at, so don't worry about it. If your PR was a 6 or 7 and then went down to 0, then there'd be cause for concern. Get some real links to your site and you'll see what I mean.
Have you checked with other PR checker tools? There are so many websites have been updated with new PR, this could be a reason too. Try build more dofollow backlinks to increase your PR.
