    Hi All,

I was scratching my head on this, is it that google pr 0 means a website is been penalized? I think there is no meaning for pr 0, so may be google use it for this purpose. What do you say?

    Regards

Characteristically for PR0 is that all or at least a lot of pages of a website show a PageRank of 0 in the Google Toolbar, even if they do have high quality inbound links. Those pages are not completely removed from the index but they are always at the end of search results. A PageRank of 0 does not always mean a penalty.

We can do nothing but speculate about the causes for PR0 because Google representatives rarely publish new information on Google's algorithms.

    Hi,

I suggest a quick search in Google, wiki will surely explain what your page rank means and how to increase it

Is mean that your site has very less PR juice, which not enough for you to achieve PR1

i don't think so pr 0 means a website is been penalized. At least it having rank 0, i can see some of site having rank of n/a. So no need to worry of being pr 0.

If the rank drops from PR 1 to 0, its not a penalty, if it drop from PR3 or above, it sure is a penalty and u need to look around for a fix cause PR doesn takes an adrupt fall, 1 PR change is okay...

PR0 is still PR as apposed to no PR (or n/a). PR is one of over 200 factors Google considers in determining SERPs for a particular page and to the best of my knowledge is mainly based on the amount and quality of the inbound links to that page.

There is not an official penalty system with Google. If this were the case then lots of people would get a penalty placed on their competitors to eliminate the competition. A PR 0 usually means your site is very new or not properly optimized.

My PR is zero also, but I only put my site up since April 28th. And I guess I will wait on the next PR updates..

but check your serp results.. mine are all ranking so I doubt it's penalized.. although the bar should display n/a instead of 0..

Google PR is giving importance to website.Your website is 0, so you don't have importance according to google.Get back links from high page rank websites.

Zero(0) is the starting position for your site by which you can even think that your website has given importance to google to rank it at 0 from unranked. Like this you will get better PR so continue optimizing you website.

That's fine. You don't have to worry. Just build more links if you want to increase your page rank.

It means that your site has more backlinks than all sites with PR n/a and less then everyone else. Do not worry about that.
