    Google has always stated that you shouldn't worry about PR but continue building unique content, and getting backlinks, PR will come in due time

    I don't agree on it, Google can't finish Page Rank concept without informing webmaster communities in advance. But it's quite true that Google haven't updated its Page Rank for quite some times.
