You need to get yourself serious hosting, with a good domain name. Free hosting, like google page creators, will always have limits to either the amount of files (or MB's), or the amount of visitors. Free hosting is just not worth the hastle, IMO.

name.com offers $5.99 domain registration with free hosting on google page creator (gpc). Great deal but there are some problems for seo.

Because its only $6 I figured what the heck Ill try it. So I registered my new site http://www.celebrity-clothes.com If you click the link you might notice that there is currently nothing there. name.com is having some trouble getting www.celebrity-clothes.com and celebrity-clothes.com to point to the same place - my gpc account. One would think that would be the default.

Well maybe they will get that straightened out but here the real problems. GPC uses Ajax for its template system. Users have no access to the headers for their pages - so no description or keyword meta tags. :(

GPC barely supports Adsense. Any javascript is buggy on GPC and the best advice I found is put the javascript in last and then don't edit the page again. Talk about static pages.

GPC does not allow you to make site wide navigation bars or link bars. Yes you can do it with Flash (no bugs with GPC) or Javascript (buggy!!). So if you have a lot (more then 10 pages) it becomes a real hassle to add site wide changes. But even using either of these is a SEO no no as search engine bots cannot spider flash or javascript.

No GPC does not support php. So don't even think of going there.

As far as Adrian7's question about site storage - just sign up for another GPC account and put the extra pics there then link into them. Don't expect any support from Google. Don't even expect the GPC help pages to be typo or error free or even make any sense at all.

Sometimes you get what you pay for, and GPC is free.
