Google paid $3.1 billion for DoubleClick, Microsoft paid $6 billion for Aquantive, and Yahoo paid $680 million for the 80 percent
DoubleClick is a Digital Marketing Company ie Advertising, Google has no reason what so ever to but a SEO firm.
google owns doubleclick which owns performics which is an seo company. so yes, google does own an seo.
Weird, why would Google need a SEO company when they control the algorithms, they can put whoever to be first if they want to. I do not see the point and doing may make other SEO companies worried
Would be very interesting to check out, i can just image the sales phone call. SEO: Yes we can give you #1 placement for Viagra in 5 minutes. Client: Scammer, Bye Doh!
I also don't see any point as to why google should own a SEO company. Infact that would result in conflict of intrest for Google and might affect its reputation.
They bought a big company DoubleClick for other reasons, DoubleClick owns a much smaller Performics, who does affiliate marketing and other things, in addition to SEO. So it is not like Google intended to buy a SEO firm.
