    It makes sense for google to register all these domains, still cheaper then suing people for TM infringement, even if they are in the right.

    Yes you are right, this is not a new news... Google is worldwide trademark and once any new domain extension is starting up they do offer all the trademark owners to register there domain name before of the publics :)
