Google (or SEs in general) and javascript

Could not find an answer to this question. So, here it goes.

One of my websites pulls content (text) onto a page via Javascript from a database. Will Google be able to see the content at all or is their "text-based" spider approach blind towards javascript? Any idea?

    Thanks for your feedback.

i'm sure google and other se's can read javascript but they won't execute it or index it so to answer your question, most likely not.

Cool. Thanks for clarifying this. I was able to get around the problem with PHP. :)
