Google optimization, indexing and pagerank, related?

    Hello, I have a website that currently has a PR of 3. Though the other search engines show many more, google shows 193 links pointed at it. However, not a single page is being indexed! The site was not indexed in google for a while and then got a pagerank all of a sudden and was indexed for 3-5 days before being taken off again. Why is this? I have tried several things and cannot get to the bottom of this... The site has been around for more than a year also. I have used google's new sitemaps and been verified and my sitemap checks out as OK.

    my indexing summary in sitemaps reads;
    Indexing summary:

    No pages from your site are currently included in Google's index. Indexing can take time. You may find it helpful to review our information for webmasters and webmaster guidelines. [?]

    Google doesn't show all links and even on the ones it shows there is limited information as G treats different links differently. One-ways or more valueable than reciprocals... links from related sites are better... anchor text makes a difference... etc.

    PR doesn't really mean anything though Cutts claims thet higher PR sites get crawled more often (though all that means is the more links going to your site the more times the spiders follow them there, if you catch my meaning).

    Anyway, with the BigDaddy update a lot has changed. Well established sites are having a hard time keeping their pages in the index. Cutts claims this has to do with the trustworthiness of the links pointing to your pages as well as the quantity. It seems TrustRank is a reality at Google.

    If you PM me your URL I can take a look.

    Use yahoo siteexplorer. It shows links better than Google.

    Hmmm... sounds like a 302 redirect hijack. Post or PM the url. I would like to take a look.

    I'm looking at the page on hijacking and it seems to not really be whats going on with my site... Would it cause google to not even index me? I checked my cpanel and there were only 5 302 redirects and I think it was most likely because I am redirecting people who don't type the www. to the full site.

    The site has a bunch of ads for a home page with navigation worked around them. It looks completely spammy and I'm almost certain that manual checks are behind the penalties. Replace the ads with content. I'm not saying "no ads" but you can't make them the main feature and expect the SEs to like it.

    If the bans are manual, how often do they maunally recheck it? Or will they at all? I've put a lot of content up, its just lower on the homepage. Should I use the sitemaps reinclusion request or will that penalize me in the future?
