Hi guys so I have been recently working on quite a few links for my homepage. I wrote an article about 2 days ago and its still on the homepage but its quite far down.

I then found out I was like 5th for this keyword but my index page is the one that shows up and not the actual article page. Is the only way to get the sub pages listed instead of my index page, is to build more and more backlinks to these individual sub pages?

    Thanks guys!

It is impossible to say for sure. It is likely that the reason your homepage showed up is because it has a higher ranking than the internal page where you posted the full article. But the synopsis on the main page was quickly indexed by google. You are right in saying that the best way to boost your page present is by building back links to internal pages rather than just you homepage
