Google On Killing Spree

I noticed that Google is on a killing-spree. The search giant is de-indexing several websites, not just my websites, but others' too.

How are you reacting to this massacre of website pages?

Even I am unaware of such a move.....OP is probably the first person to report something like that happening...

I do not think google would be doing it as a concerted action...it might be just that certain sections belonging to certain niche or group might be targeted.

Let us wait for more evidence from others as well....before panicking!

I heard a rumor lately that Google has laid the smack down on adwors adverts promoting anything to do with affiliate marketing as it doesn't view it as a legitimate business? Has anyoneheard of this or have experience with it?

If this is true, i think thats got to be nuts. How many billions has Google made thanks to affiliate marketing, hell it even has its own affiliate network. Are the guys over there smoking on the reefer?

Sorry to hear that. Hope everything will be fine in time. But in my case, when I post an article in my blog, the page gets indexed in Google within 5 minutes. Though I use only Google sitemap and a script from Google webmaster tools for SEO. Better you do not think about site index and concentrate to optimize your site for search engines with fresh unique content.

It's all good here. Except for that site that was password protected and google won't visit it anymore now that it's public, but that's another story.

I have almost all my pages indexed by the google in all of my sites and blogs. This seems a peculiar case for the OP and it is time to analyze the reason for deindexing by the google.

Actually, he's not the only one.
I've seen significant drops on a couple of my 'test' sites.

Usually ponders around the 500 pages indexed for three sites, now they've all collapsed to less than a 100 a piece

I thought it was something to with all the SEO tests I ran on it, but doesn't seem so obvious now .. infact I saw a similar thread on another forum recently, I'll see if I can rustle up the URL for it.
