Google offering free .in domains for Indians

    Just found that google is offering free .in domain + 1 year free hosting in association with Hostgator. Its a good initiative to bring many small businesses online :) Does google offer such kind of offers for other countries as well?

    FYI : Check this out http://www.indiagetonline.in/ for free .in domains

    Yes. But its a good initiative to bring the small vendors online. Just wanted to know does google offer similar offers to other countries as well?

    Wow exciting what is that worth a couple of dollars if it even is true. What can you do with a .in domain. I guess the free is the attraction. Kind of like a free cup of coffee. It's free so you will take it, but nothing special really.

    Ive seen a number of incentives to Indians in the last few weeks by Google , Looks like there really trying to help them out.

    Since its through hostgator I believe it would be the regular price of the Baby plan or any other plan, which for a small business, after a year it should be acceptable. However (i didn't checked) wonder if the domains are registered or business owners name or the registrar..
