Google not showing meta description on index page

As you can see here: http://www.google.com/search?q=site...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

My home page anchor text is not the text in my Meta description. Every month or so, google switches between that text, and my meta description text. When google does this, it throws my rankings off very drastically. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

The anchor text that is in my meta description is "Help Me Mike! Computer Support and Services"

Google takes the description from any part of your page according to the search query. Their is no guarentt that the description must have to take from meta description.

If you want to see your description for site:yoursite.com then write a meta description containing 155 charecters. At that time, you can see the meta description of your site.

Make sure that every page on your site has a meta description
Differentiate the descriptions for different pages
Include clearly tagged facts in the description
    Use quality descriptions
and also prevent search engines from displaying DMOZ data in search results for your site.
    use this <meta name="robots" content="NOODP">

They may try to generate an improved description from content of the site, or other sources
