My sites are regularly being crawled, you may want to check your log files to see if google bot is coming to your site or not.

There is a problem, not even google as been updated since June 20th.

Ive spent the last couple of hours looking into this, I can't find a cached page for any site from the 21st onwards.

As googl egot a problem, is it part of the Bourbon update, as google got problems.

I have been closely monitoring and recording this since last February.

Google will update your page one day and then the next drop back to an old version of your page and stay there for days or weeks!!

As I have said before Watch your cache dates!!!!

    from google...

Did you mean to say that the pages on your site are showing up URL only in the SERPs? In other words, your pages are not showing any title and description on the SERPs?

No, Zak is talking about the cache dates not matching the Gbot visit dates. I noticed this the other day where Google was displaying a description under a page listed when I did a site: for the domain. There is only one page listed and in the description a date was displayed...from a June 13th post I made. The cache date (from the page displayed when the cache link is clicked), was May 15th. So, clearly Google was using a different page for the SERPs but, not when showing you the "cached" version of the page.

Sorry for hi-jacking the thread but I have a similar problem.

I have a site that has been up for a couple of months, got a PR of 3 on the home page and some inbound links. The problem is that google has chached all the site pages EXCEPT the home page the date of the cached pages is June 11th.

I don't have anything stopping google from caching the home page.

I've just added a site map anything else I can do that will encourage Google to cache the home page?

If you can see a cached date, then the page is cached...

yes every page has been cached...EXCEPT the main page...the only way google could have found the other pages is by following the links from the main page
I am confused as to why this most imortant of pages isn't cached

You might try searching Google with, site:www.yourdomain.com and again as site:yourdomain.com and looking in the results for your home page. Sometimes, it is really cached but as index.htm or as the non-www version.

If you find it in results, you'll see what the deal is with the cache date. If things are not right, you can use the Google support form. I had a similar issue, reported it, and a month later it was fixed.

I can't say the support request is what fixed it, but I don't think it can hurt.

Thanks I had a look at boht versions of the url and at the various data centers.

I found that the Spanish and Uk data centers were showing a cache BUT when I clicked on it it was not found.

Recently, many things are not getting found when you click on cached version...
that's weird... Google should concentrate on it's search
I think they're counting dollars since IPO
