Google not able to access my sitemap correctly

    I have about 1.8m items in my cart, made up of multiple databases from my suppliers. Now I know that a sitemap can not have more than 50000 items, so created a sitemap for each 50000 chunk. Now I add the sitemaps to google and it crawls a few of them, theres 5 or so that it shows as added for a few of the first maps added. But most of the others are showing a 404 error, yet the file does exist and no robot of restrictions are in place to prevent google from accessing the site.

    What else could it be ?
