    Who would now pay Yahoo directory $300 for some links that might be worthless in the near future? It doesn't bring any real traffic in my experience.

    Is this googles way of telling people not to renew subscriptions?

    This would kill off all the money makers.. I aggree, but if they turned away from link building, then how else are you supposed to get ranked?

    always worth submitting to high quality directories and avoiding the low quality ones. Its easy to check the quality before submission
