I still feel its very odd if they fixed it without some sort of email to say it was broken in the first place. Very shady by Google, however we'll see.
The stats are much higher today already... But I agree it's too early to tell for sure.. need a day or 2 more.
Yup. Shaping up to be a VERY VERY good day here, too. It's probably fixed until the next bug. I've come to the conclusion that Googlebugs are part of working with Google. -- Leva
Wow! to your great conversions and Wow! to the sudden drop. I haven't had any conversions since implementing it on one of my blogs, even though there were clicks. I chocked it up to not choosing the Google Toolbar when installing, etc. Your results are convincing and disturbing. It sucks!
Yep, my conversions looked just about normal today - only slightly on the low side... way better than the 90% drop of the last week..
Not too bad today. Like Teara said, a bit on the low side but much better. I would still like to see them come back to normal.
Google just sent me a response. The rep responding said there was no problem, it was normal variations and my conversions were all tracked normally. Also, she said: >You'll receive: > >- up to US $1 for each successful Firefox referral >- up to US $2 for each successful Pack referral Somehow, this doesn't give me much faith in her answer. -- Leva
I received another generic response about normal fluctuation which is, excuse my language, bullshit. I sent them back a very honest and displeased email explaining how this is was a widespread problem and they couldn't even address the problem specifically or at least send a "human" email. I find their customer service completely horrible.
Is anyone else having really low conversion to click today compared to the last two days? Maybe its just me.
Mine's actually lower than that even on a good day, but that probably has something to do with my demographic. I will say that when Firefox is in the news, there tends to be a greater spread between clicks and conversions. I suspect ths is because users are curious and may click the links to have a look around, but they're not yet ready to download. -- Leva
I just got an e-mail from Google acknowledging there was an issue with reporting for the referrals, and they're looking into it. Oh, and it's fixed now. Ya think? As long as I get a credit someday, I'll be happy. (Seriously, technical problems happen. As long as they fix it and credit me, I'm happy.) -- Leva
I'm glad they acknowledged it. Numbers have been good ..... until today. back under 28% conversion to clicks . Hope it evens out.
