    Google is still the "best search engine" because it gives accurate result and better SEO. As you said , Google has more backlinks, higher authority and give organic traffic for the site.

    I don't think Google will really care about their SEO ranking. They don't have to worry about find new users to use their website. Mostly all people know about Google.
