Hi All, I am owning one News Portal which has more than 20k pages now. Every Day my team update more than 300 pages. Till 2011 - my all pages got automatically indexed and were visible in Google News. But recently, I am not able to see my few pages in Google News. What could be the possibility? I have created separate News Sitemap.xml
First go to your webmaster tool and see t\whether there is any mail.message from Google, Check Indexing errors
@amirk - Yes, I have created separate Google News sitemap for those articles. @xtrashots9 - No, we haven't got any of the mail from Google Webmaster. @rankwatch.com - It's one of the popular news portal carrying more than 2 lac indexed pages.
Are those pages De-indexed? How much pages you lost? It is not a normal case that only few pages lose their index. Not sure, may be those pages are some how penalized for duplicate contents?
Yes, as above people are commenting about the duplicated content. Please check the webmaster tool if you have implemented on your website. In html improve tab you will find the duplicate title tag or other pages if automatically generated by your CMS.
If your site is still approved by Google news then you will see your articles when you type: site:mydomain.com in the Google News search window. If you have posted a recent article that is in the Google News sitemap but it is not listed when you enter that command, it almost certainly means you have been de-listed from Google News. If you check your Google News sitemap in Webmaster tools, it will no longer have a Green Checkmark next to it. It is unfortunately a common problem for Google to remove you from their news syndication.
