    GOOGLE NEWS HACKED
    .
Apparently, Google News started serving ads on Feb. 4, 2009 -
    http://friendfeed.com/e/a83d1939-e7da-4d1d-ae19-98d13f099c0a/

    I searched Google News -
The FIRST Google ad on the right hand side, under "Sponsored Links", said -

I took a screenshot. It looks like a blue "Aladdin from the lamp".

I clicked on the ad, and was redirected to -
    http://www.1shubiz1.com/unique/pdf.php?f=all
which is a page in the Russian language.

I took a screenshot of this also.
Looks like Google News has been hacked. NOBODY is safe, these days.

EDIT: Neither one of those links above work the same as the first time I clicked on them.
Lots of shifty stuff going on here. Glad I took screenshots.

I would paste the screen shots here, but there is no way to do it directly (like avatars).
Only a link from a website can be used.
I do not have an appropriate site to post them from.

Search Engine Roundtable picked up on this story, and posted a screen shot -

Definitely a hack, apparently timed to coincide with President's Day.
Some hackers lack good taste, and seek shock value only.
I don't think we are going to see a lot of this - Google will squash it ASAP.

"Just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean that you SHOULD!"
I guess it is an ego thing. "Look what I can do!"
