    google has been releasing lot of updates. hard to say why your ranking is down as it would depend on since when your site started to go down in ranking, what has been done to promote the site in the past, and various other factors.

    if you practice white hat link building methods and not use any spam techniques, your site should not go down in ranking even if google makes updates.

    Google updates results each day, so results can be different every time you check. The best way to keep results good - is keep on working with the site SEO every day and not leave it alone

    It could be a result of the over optimization update. You should make sure you did not over optimize your site for a certain phrase. Obviously you want to keep it as the title, but make sure the keyword density is only 1-2%. I never go over 1% these days out of fear that I will get punished for something. I also include at leas 20 LSI words.
