As digitalpoint mentioned - basically, there are about 500 changes per year.

Keep an eye on http://searchengineland.com/ for announcements of major updates.

Google used to publish a list of changes once per month, but then this changed to once per two months. Now, it has been about three months? Anyway, they publish them at http://insidesearch.blogspot.co.uk so it's worth subscribing to their RSS feed.

Google generally doesn't share this information ahead of time.

No one knows... people even at Google don't know when major updates will roll out until it happens.

Just keep an eye on this page and it will be reported. :)

I got seriously b*tch slapped on a site in the past 24 hours. Not sure about blaming it on an algo change... first guess is its a penalty. Too soon to tell, but that's my gut feeling.

I suspect you are right. There is normally mass panic, crying and conspiracy theories, but aside from the blubbering the other day (over more or less nothing), it seems to have been quiet. So far.

There's a site of mine I'm expecting to plummet into oblivion (I foolishly outsourced SEO as it's not the kind of site I like to do it for and to say the least, the result was a load of spammy bollocks, after initial good work), but still holding steady. Although I have been working to remove the shit links (but no actual SEO, I've decided to let it die).

This is the main algorithm to not share the algorithms of Google.. we don't have exact clue on what time any update would happen.

There are updates almost every single day. You just don't have to give up (because working hard today can lead to NO RESULTS after the updates tomorrow). But big changes... they are not so often, so this can make us feel calm :D :)

Ya..its right that last Google algorithm update was on jan. 22. However, page rank update by Google was on 4th Feb. But it has been seen that after 4th Feb page rank update many sites are losing the ranking for keywords. Even I have lost keywords ranking for my three niche sites.

So, please anyone of your have any updated news for Google's any running activity like Google Dancing ,etc. let us know. Mostly in Google dance there is keyword fluctuation but just for a week; however, this time this fluctuation for long time so worried :( I assure that my site are not under Panda and Penguin update.

    Thank you in advance.

Well, Google keeps updating with minor and major changes regularly but we don't know if any particular update is going to happen on any particular day.
