For those of you who have new sites that you are trying to get established, here are a few pointers that might help your sites visibility. Note, I said visibility, not SEO, SERPS, PR, etc. These in no way replace CPC campaigns, responsible backlinking, or your quest for solid content. Curious what your tips are as well. Here are my top three:

Have you ever done a Google search and noted a section on page one titled "Shopping results for ..." That's GoogleBase, and if you are selling something, it's something you should do. While you might not see a standard link to your site on page 1, you might very well see your product with a link to your site on page 1 if you are using Googlebase. The more products, the better. No guarantees, but it's free, fast, and easy.

Create an article on a high-pr article submission site. Don't duplicate content from your site though. Write something that is targeted for your keyword and your article is likely to show up with a better rank that similar content on your new site.

Videos - How many times have you done a google search and noted video links show up on page one? Create a video, use relevant tags and titles for your keywords and submit to YouTube, DailyMotion, etc. Easy.

    Cheers,
