    Good for the honest and original content creators and bad for the copy cats. Just make sure you don't get penalized while being honest.

    Any change in Google algorithm,
    - is good for the users on the web, eliminating spam and junk garbage content
    - does not affect good sites (you see consistent top ranking sites unaffected by any change in Google algorithm)
    - quality site owners are not scared of changes in Google algorithm; spammers are ;)

    There are autobloggers, I was thinking they are affected too. Well for the legitimate content owner, it is the best move and I think Google just did the right thing. Big sites like Ezine and ArticlesBase should implement stricter moderation on the articles being submitted to them..

    I've also read the news about the changes that's been doing by Google with their system. and so far, big sites that copies content from other sources had been struck by the new algo tweak

    We have over 75 websites and blogs, and not one of them took a hit for the new algo change. Why? Because we write original content and we never used articles for backlinks.
    Some of our competitors did, and now we're enjoying the traffic that they lost last week :)

    As long as you have a legitimate site you have nothing to worry about with the new changes. If you have unoriginal/bad content then you've had this coming for a long time.

    I'm half for it and half against it. I have a few sites that were bumped up (barely - one of them went from position 10 to position 9), but I also have a few sites that were essentially sandboxed. My acquaintances say that it's just because google is fucking nearly everybody for a few days while updating everything, but I'm afraid those will be sandboxed permanently :(

    I'm happy with this new algorithm because I always build sites on unique content so less comptetitors for me.

    As someone stated above. If you follow correct search engine optimization practices, IE; Unique relevant content, relevant backlinks, seo friendly urls, unique title/meta/desc.. then you have nothing to worry about.

    Those of you copying, spinning, and duplicating content and spamming to get irrelevant backlinks will see your sites dropping to nothing. This is how it should be, i'm so tired of all these sites copying my unique content and then nofollowing my author links.

    :applauds: Google.

    @The101Dan

    I have seen many of my own sites do this. I will be in the top 10 and then my site will appear to be sandboxed. Usually within 2 days the site comes back maybe 2 positions higher then it was. If your site doesn't show back up within 3 days max, then you're sandboxed.
