    It's not a new logo, it's a just a logo they will use for this special event, which they like to do. I love it and think that it gives Google a personality.

    I like the fact that Google has some fun with the logo. The variety is a pleasant change.

    Tesla was an interesting guy. He was a genius but was also a bit unstable. He designed a number of inventions that never got produced because he decided that once he'd confirmed that the invention would work, he just threw it away. He worked with Thomas Edison for a while but the two had some serious "creative differences" and Tesla left. Edison felt that the best use of electricity in the home was via 220 volt Direct Current, and Tesla disagreed. He advocated 120 volt Alternating Current, which is actually what we now use.

    Google's programmers have always been known for their sense of humor, but thats beside the point this time around though they managed to create something which i like on a personal level! So kudos to Google :p

    It's a good thing though, as simple as Google is, it should do some coloring up every now and then in order to make sure that the people that use it for searching don't forget that they do CARE about the users :D
