If you are manually back linking do as many as you want! You won't be penalized. If you are taking the time and effort to manually back link you are probably making sure they are quality PR and quality content with comments forum posts etc. Go Hard link away. Just let G find them naturally. Just like Craig said if the myth was true we could automate the process and spam 100k links on our competitors sites and box them!
Hey, Thanks for the video! It was a great help, it's sad but many people do not know what there talking about. If you were one of the fools that told me to slow my grind down just take a look at the video in my post. I bet after looking at that it'll shut all you up who have no clue what your talking about. && I just knew google wouldn't penalize you for your hard work if you were doing it the honest & right way. Thanks again. God bless
Just keep doing what you got to do, just don't spend a day a month doing it as that's not natural ! Its your site so do what you want to do
Google won't penalize you for getting many backlinks, and google don't even know that's because your hardwork or natural Did facebook got penalized on google for getting backlinks? nope just don't easily trust automatic stuffs and you'll be good
I think if the backlinks are good ones google will see that and reward you for it. I think google just doesnt like spammers. I'm pretty new to this but this is what i have gathered.
You need to get backlink from quality and relevant site, make sure you are not spamming and you did not get link from spamming site.
If You got more back links with in short time build spamy links, those are not helps to your ranking.
Building lots of links should not be a problem. Even if you build 5 links per month , you may be sandboxed. So I dont think sandbox is related to link building. But I dont like the way you called everyone that tried to help you in this thread as "fools"
No, you won't. If it was that easy to get a website penalized, then everybody would be happily getting spammy websites to link to their competitors.
Getting too many back links in short time is risky for new domain, with domain age trust for a website improves. Always, getting link manually is good and best over automated and bought links that will just bring your ranking down after a while. Manual linking building practice is best link building strategy; avoid automated software, paid links. Back links from same source (directories hosted on same server will have same class C IP address), using same anchor text (that is keyword used for hyper linking) repeatedly will result in Google Bombing, so if you want to earn lots of back links in short spam use different sources. Get back links through guest blogging, org, gov sites, stumbleupon, twitter, facebook, good PR sites, avoid instant directories. Make sure if you are fast in manual submission then to keep changing the titles (anchor text) you are linking. Best is slow and steady.
People don't change, or even learn. Just because you SEO companies say that you can't build more than x number of links a month doesn't mean that it'll get you penalised. Just to be clear, there is an obvious difference on the type of links you are trying to get. Getting so many links from websites classified as 'bad neighborhood' websites, spammy or link farm websites is all but a different story. Let's then focus on getting legitimate, clean links. Say you get so many links via word of mouth or link bait strategies, would that get you penalised if your backlinks suddenly spiked just because people finds your content very informative and helpful? I highly doubt Google would even have that kind of logic. Organic or natural links are the best way to go, I would not recommend doing paid directory listings, automated backlinks or even buying links. They aren't worth shit.
Hey, I only get my links the organic ways. Through hard work. I don't pay anyone or use in automatated link building services. I didn't think google would penalize a person for getting links the right way no matter how many links a person built. I am going to keep working my ass of to build back links. This thread really helped me a lot, because people were saying that if you build too many links in the first couple months google would penalize you. I stay up night after night after night working on my site building as many quality back links as possible. I just didn't want my hard work to be going go waste. If google really did penalize you for building a certain number of back links I wanted go know so I could slow down. Everyone reading this thread the title is "Google Myths" because it is only a myth that google will penalize you for hard core link building. Now of course you will be penalized for doing things under handed, but that's with anything in life. You won't get away with doing something under handed for too long. Thanks again for everyone who commented. God bless
don't u know facebook and twitter links are " nofolllow", thus u can't count them as a backlink!! Though good for smo
A few good paid backlinks can be more powerful than 100's or 1000's of forum links, free directory links, recip. links, blog comment spam, etc. But the trick is, you have to buy the right kind of links, and from the right places. If you don't know what you are doing, you'll just waste your money or worse.
Nope I never knew that, glad you told me though! I don't really use them for link building, just get on from time to time. @simey- so how do you know where and who to buy links from & I bet that usually cost quite a bit of money if you want high quality links?
You will not penalized for your hard work, but your get back links from non- related and scam sites then Google will definitely penalized your site .
