Google Minus 50 Penalty: A Case Study

One thing i dont understand though.. if building links the way you say or Paid links or wheels and all that would of been so bad for SEO wouldn't one would be able to do the exact same thing to his competitor ? does that make sense to you that someone who build massive amount of links or bad links would get penalized ?
i mean if its true then everyone in the SEO industry would be able to just send massive amount of links to a competitor company and screw with there ranking and get them penalized..

well my friend .. this is not the reality and google also stated that and wrote clearly that there is simple nothing . or almost nothing that a competitor can do to hurt someone's ranking.

also without paid links .. there is simply no chance of SEO.

instead of looking at the links penalty and the -50 -30, -100000 - because this penalties are simply Bull... try to look at his on page seo and the way his website was built - check if he had some clocking and other blackhat seo techniques done on his website before he hired you .

i have done SEO for quit some times - links by what i have seen so far wont ever or almost ever get you penalized. one of my recent website is now ranked from 1-8 results on google. when this website was 2nd month old i link it on 3 of website of mine. (site wide links) each of these pages had around 30 - 50k pages ..
and i am talking about 2 months old domain it should of gotten penalized if what you said is true. yet i am ranked 1-8 on a very competitive keywords.

you can try to submit site to google site appeal for reinclusion.
i have one blog that previously rated very high, but later suddently gone from SERP since april this year. Where site not listed for primary keyword, but listed for other keywords. Strange doesn't it! i send the site for reconsideration, and still waiting for their reinclusion until now. They are busy!

Another good way to look at template sponsor links, obviously these are the worst case scenario for getting template sponsor links.

I wish I know this, but I can only guess
All of the 12 sites are on different IPs, some of them have not have any new links for at least a half of year.
No paid links. Sites are not in any linking schemas.

I guess the problem is in links from blog comments, some of the pages are full of spam now. In past few month I put links more than usually, but I put links only for 3 sites from these 12. One of the websites has only 19 backlinks and only 3 of them from blog commenting.

What I can not understand, how google found all these 12 sites (they all have got penalty at one moment). The common things for all of them are adsense code, whois and google analitycs code.

Now I try to delete spammy links. As soon as I did it, I send reconsideration request.

 

sorry, i totally forgot about this thread. someone PMed me about this and thought an update was due since i started this.

as for my initial perception, the penalty WAS automated and not a manual one. i ddn't have to submit a reinclusion request. based on the diversified link building campaign and removing a few paid links, this site started to show progress on ranking. the site has been ranking #2 for its primary term now for some time.

moral for the story: play by the rules and dont buy any links that are obvious to be identified as paid links by google. put together a diversified link building campaign so that you are on the safe side. a single method works today but may not work tomorrow so if you stick with only one or two methods, your ranking may suffer in the long run.
