Google Maps : Wrong Location On Map?

When you add a business to Google Maps it makes a map for you. I tried adding a new shop I am opening and the Google Map ends up showing that I am like 10 miles away (it's way off).
Is there a way to make a correction? The building I am moving into has been there for decades, so it's not a new address.

Anyone else have this problem? Google Maps are huge for local advertising

Have you tried filing a support request with AdWords? Given that you want to use the listing for advertising, you should be able to get a response.

I was able to fix it. As I was adding my new location it showed my location to be on the other side of town. I was able to edit it during the process, and now it's listed correctly.
I see all my neighbors here didn't figure that out because it lists them on the other side of town.

yes, recently when im looking up building apartments in brooklyn i get the same thing, i don'tt get 10 miles off tho, i get 2 blocks off or something, i guess it really depends on where you live, I notice that Goggle mapdoesn'tt do everywhere in the us, so maybe if your areadoesn'tt have much mapping it will take you to the nearest place, but i do understand what you are saying i get the same thing here, but not 10 miles off, i think you live in a not so populated area.

Yes, I have also noticed that Google Maps can be very inaccurate in low population area.

Yikes, clever of you to figure it out. Sucks for your local competitors though.

I get a boatload of local traffic from them. The businesses in my town here in Florida are still stuck in the 90's
