    Hi just workin with my mate with a google maps api, we have created different markers
    to represent different things on the map but they are all displayed, how do you make it so that it only displays certain categories depending on the category chosen?

    e.g. click on drink bars from a list and only the bars makers are shown on the map.
    or click on restaurants from a category list and only the restaurant markers are shown on the map.

    we've only jst started playing around with google maps api and dont' really know much abt it. Could you please provide some examples/references that would helps us to do this?
