I am finding that Tibet has also ceased to be on a number of maps. Obviously Taiwan is far more dramatic, but it follows the same lines. Does the UN (or western countries in general) recognize Tibet anymore? Edit: Tibet absent in the CIA World Fact Book...
Taiwan is not part of China... However, Chinese nationalists will claim otherwise. This thread should be moved to General Chat anyways.
Taiwan isn't a part of China, as it has it's own government, constitution and is recognised by the UN. China still considers it a rogue state. It China it is illegal to say that Taiwan is a seperate country, and for the Taiwanese people, claiming that they are a aprt of China will only annoy the hell out of them, as they seem to be touchy about it.
I agree. I don't know why Google would show Taiwan as a part of China. Mainland China considers Taiwan to be a part of their country, but the people in Taiwan don't. I wonder when or if China will attack Taiwan. I believe they will.
It's a possibility, but I doubt it, not in the near future. Taiwan has the US backing it, last I heard
