So, my company is listed #4 in google maps for washington DC web design. However, only the top 3 in that list get displayed within the SERPs for washington DC web design So, my question is, obviously, how do i get into the top 3 listings for google maps? Anyone have any experience with this? I've never tinkered with google maps before. Any help would be appreciated.
I just revised the business listing to include more of the keywords for 'web design' and 'Washington DC'. Perhaps this will improve the rankings. I'll post back if i see any changes. Nobody has any thoughts or experience on this?
Looks like the changes i made have had an impact. I was able to move up in the google map listings to #3. (Blue Water Media) Great! However, I am still not listed in the SERPs as number 3 - which is the main goal here. Perhaps this will get improve soon also. I'll keep an eye on this. Anyone got any experience with this? Or am i just talking to myself here?
I can't add much to the discussion, but I find it interesting that the Top 4 "Local Business Results" in the SERPs don't match the Top 4 in Google Maps (i.e, the "more results" link). Maybe it's a datacenter thing...
I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps the datacenters will synch better given more time. That seems reasonable. I'll try adding some reviews. - I'll post back with any updates. And thanks for posting, i was getting frustrated talking to myself. :/
getting positive reviews and general SEO (backlinks for your keywords) if you are working for an actual company's page, advise them on getting their clients to post reviews
