google map marker help

Hello. Does any body have the code for a marker on a google api map that I can edit and paste to my map. I need to put a marker on my map and I cant find the code on google map api help. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

I'm not clear on what you are looking for exactly.

You have a google map on your page and you want to add a pop-up like found on yelp.com?
Or you simply want the same little graphic to use on your non-google map?

 

i need to put a marker on a certain address and have text pop up on mouse over
