Hello people, When I login to my account Google shows an overview of (in all the channels) 7.24 in earnings ... but when I get a detailed view, in advanced reports menu, I get 9.64 I attached 2 screenshots for you to see ... any ideas of what's happening ? At the end of the day, google address the less amount of money my account
It's probably show a cross over of channels. If there are url channels mixed with unit channels you will see a false indication of earnings becuase it's adding earning from a page with earnings of a unit on that page. That's what I think anyway.
Thanks all! I hope that there is some kind of cross over problem ... Taking down NOW the screenshots, thanks again!
you know, you can post screenshots, just edit the image and draw a big block over the CTR, CPM, IMP area and only display total revenue.
Google might have deducted that amount presuming some invalid or false clicks which probably they'll refund back to you later after through verification from their end.
The overview figure is slightly behind due to the length of time it takes Googles computer to calculate actual earnings. Even the figure of 9.64 is estimated as the monthly total takes into account average rainfall in your area, wind direction, the winner of the 2.30 at Epsom and (n) which is the percentage the publisher is awarded: Googles publisher percentage (n) calculator Cheers BP
It might be a bug of calculation. When you view all the earnings by channels, Google summed up the earnings of those checked channels and it is not of course your actual earning especially if you are using a customized channel along with the URL channel. For example: URL 1 earns $10. But on this URL, you applied 3 channels that earns $5, $4 and $1 respectively. Now if you view the URL channel and the 3 customized channels at the same time, Google will show your earning as $20 that is because all earning of the checked channels both URL and Customized are summed up. But of course the actual earning is just $10.
That's right - Google's been doing two things -- 1) Sometimes doubling earnings by double-counting each channel 2) Always has counted URL channels on top of standard channels for an inflated total I just don't use URL channels any more...
(..) URL 1 earns $10. But on this URL, you applied 3 channels that earns $5, $4 and $1 respectively. Now if you view the URL channel and the 3 customized channels at the same time (..) I buy this one. Yep, seems channels are a bit confusing for Google. Anyway, they show me a neat eagleview of what channels are earning more and what channels not, even if they are not as accurate as I want them to be. Thanks for your help guys.
