Makes sense, your first priority should always be the user, and not making money...

I thinks it goods for user that user can read content freely. Some of the website showing so many pop up over content. Some website need to skip ad or dismiss ad page for see the main content.
    Welcome new Google algorithm.

As always it will only be applicable to your everyday webmaster. The big dogs will continue doing what they've always been doing and not a single one of them will be demoted. Mark my words. Do you think the large chain stores or online retailers are now going to say, "Oh sh*t don't run those intrusive, obtrusive popups anymore! Screw special offers, promotions and discounts and everything else! We do not want to break the rules, ya know..." Of course they won't. It's all about further punishing small websites, businesses. How about letting webmasters choose what they want to do with their mobile sites and others choose what they want to visit (or not to visit)? Sounds like a novelty anymore.

^ I can see their reason for doing this. I stated it in my first post of this thread.

You said very little there except providing a link to the official announcement. Getting forgetful?

The thing is there's a very fine line between being obtrusive and being necessary, who can tell the difference? It's a grey area. As always we are dictated what to do and someone else should tell us what good taste is. Bleh. I hate that crap. But there's very little we can do except complain.

I am surprised you like that stuff... Strange. Anyone can see how intrusive the new policy against intrusive popups actually is.
