Google, "Machine" Status Would Be Nice

As I write this my Google Adwords and Adsense accounts have not been updated in the past 7 hours. I have no idea why. So, here's an idea for all Google services worldwide..

I like to keep in touch with Particle Physics. The big new machine right now is the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) in Geneva. It's one heck of a complex device, about 27 kilometers in circumference. Central Machine Control puts out a webpage with machine status, 24/7.

So, since the world relies on Google, why does Google not put out a public page with infrastructure status i.e. what's happening right now with the Google infrastructure (Search, Adwords, Adsense, Blogger, Earth, etc. etc.)

Google is running a global resource, just like the folks at the LHC in Geneva. Users would like to know "machine status" of Google, 24/7. A worldwide report from the "Google Control Room". A bit of transparency for the users.
