Google loves me, Bing/yahoo hate me - any idea why?

    Hey guys,

I have a resource site that's about a year old that's bringing in around 500 visitors daily from a few popular high-ranked hits in Google. When I launched the site I did a bunch of work building links from my own network of sites as well as keyword-optimizing the content, so as I expected I gained decent Google rankings over the last few monthes - but, according to my analytics, I get almost negligible traffic from yahoo, bing, and all the other search engines.

Yes, I know everything else pales beside Google, but the site is very profitable ($8+ CPM) and I'd love to get as much traffic into it as possible. Any idea why Google seems to be treating my site better then the other SEs? Is optimizing for Google different then optimizing for, say, Yahoo?

Finally, I'm curious what a custom site like mine is worth - any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

this has been a thing that was intrigated me over the years. I was in the same situation like you. One of my sites was #1 in google for a certain keyword but when i checked on yahoo i haven`t find it between the first pages.

I suposed that yahoo has a different ranking algorithm because i haven`t find any other explanation to this. Anyway my opinion is that yahoo has prabably "seen" som ething on your site that they don`t like it. All you most do if you want to verify this is to create backlinks to your site and see after a time period if your yahoo ranking has been improved

Not really go into the yahoo SEO but i can see that yahoo are giving more weight the on-page SEO especially the keyword in domain name

The domain is a keyword phrase and the pages are all optimized, I thought I had that part covered.

In simple words, Yahoo and Bing search engine is not famous and not widely used.

I manage to rank similar keyword with over a million average monthly search volume in Google on second page which delivered almost 95% traffic whereas in Yahoo and Bing, I have ranked top 10 for the same keyword but never even exceed that 5% traffic.

Take note that Google is slowly killing other competitors in search industry all over the world (except China) thus the share of Bing and Yahoo search volume keeps dropping dramatically.
