Google Local: The Option For Address Verification Is Not Showing?!?

I'm in the process of claiming multiple listings for a business that is located in several cities. Claiming the first address went smooth, it gave me the option for both phone and address verification. Since the phone system is automated its impossible for Google to call, so we had a postcard sent to the location which is perfect.

I then tried to claim the next address, but this time its only giving me the phone verification option. Since the phone system is automated this cannot work! Why is Google not showing the verification method by address?!? Please help!

Thanks for the link but unfortunately it does not work for me because the address I'm trying to confirm actually exists. All of the 5 different locations are in the same dashboard and linked to the same email address. I have posted in the Google forums but they're not able to help, and there is no way to contact Google directly.

Google is giving you option of phone number verification... Try to use your mobile phone number. You will get an SMS from Google for verification... and this should go smooth as well...

I suppose Google has already verified your postal address and knows that you are genuine

Alternatively, You can try creating different account for business listings for other places.

I thought that phone verification is through text message or SMS, you should provide a cellular phone number.

It would appear in many places that big 'G' Google is only send postcards with the verification # which takes anywhere between two and three weeks, although in exoperience it is a about 10 days at the moment, but this means keeping aclient interested for two to three weeks before his site is up. A good time to start getting citations and referrals to keep him interested.
